‘Shut Up and Go Make Another Movie’: Legendary Director Disapproves of Quentin Tarantino’s Retirement Plans

For years, Oscar-winning director Quentin Tarantino has noted that he wants to retire after his tenth film. As his last film, The Movie Criticwas cancelled, it’s unclear what his final project will be, but Ridley Scott doesn’t think that will happen.




Scott returns with a sequel to Gladiator and discussed his plans to continue directing for many years in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. At the same time, he tried to manage other famous directors, including Clint Eastwood and Tarantino. Regarding the latter, the famous director noted that he does not believe that he can retire.

Scott has had a number of different projects over the past few years, including 2021 House of Gucci and The Last DuelIn 2023 Napoleoneven now Gladiator II. Asked about Tarantino’s retirement plans, the 61-year-old Scott replied: “I don’t believe it.

“Of course,” he replied as the researcher noted that, if you are passionate about something, you are likely to come back. “I don’t believe that bullsh*t. Shut up and go make another movie.” He continued, “Quentin wrote a few things to my brother. They got along very well. Scott’s passion for directing also dates back to the year he finally got his first book in 1977. Ridley Scott has been behind some of the most iconic films of all time, such as An alien, Blade Runnerand Hannibal. However, he is not interested in adding an Oscar to his collection. Instead, he wants to be able to create amazing stories.

Release date for Gladiator IImore than twenty years since the beginning, it is approaching, and the director received high praise from the stars of the sequel.
